Toilet Repair
Got a gurgling, running, clogged, or overflowing toilet? You need expert toilet repair, Gwinnett.
Whether your toilet is on the fritz or completely unusable, this is a modern convenience you don’t want to live without for long. Sometimes a plunger is all you need to get that toilet flushing like it should, but sometimes you need to call in a pro.
How urgent is a toilet repair call? Usually, a broken toilet rides the line between “standard plumbing issue” and “emergency.” It may not necessarily be flooding your bathroom floor, but if your toilet isn’t working when you need it, you and your family will find yourselves more than uncomfortable!
Functioning toilets are one of life’s most undervalued blessings. Just try going a day or two with a non-working toilet, and you’ll agree. If your toilet needs repairing, you’re probably highly motivated to get help fast. The experts at Anthony Wimpey Plumbing have the tools and expertise to repair any toilet. And they will make sure you’re not inconvenienced any longer than you have to be.
How Do I Know if My Toilet Is Broken?
The most obvious sign that your toilet is not in perfect working condition will be faulty operation of some sort, but there are a few other things to check for. The first symptom that you’ll want to do is look for any water on the floor surrounding the toilet, as this may be a sign of a leak or overflow in the tank or bowl. If you see any water, dry it immediately, as standing water can do damage to your floor.
Next, try flushing the toilet. As you do, notice whether or not the tank or bowl fills up too much. If the toilet won’t flush, will only flush partially, or begins to flood, you’ve got a problem.
What If There’s Water on the Floor Near My Gwinnett Toilet?
It all depends on how much water we’re talking about here! If there’s a large amount of water on your floor, the first thing to do is figure out where the water is coming from. If the weather in the area is hot, the water on your floor may just be the result of condensation. In this case, no toilet repair is necessary. Instead, try to ventilate the room more to decrease the condensation.
If there’s no condensation, you may have a leak or overflow on your hands. Check the connections outside of your toilet to see if everything is securely fastened. While you check, look for cracks in the bowl or tank. If you can’t find any cracks, try flushing the toilet one more time, but keep your eye on the floor this time. If leaking occurs only when you flush, the toilet’s wax ring may no longer be sealing.
Why Should Call a Plumber for a Leaky Toilet?
Handling a toilet repair project yourself may seem like less of a hassle, but in the long run, it may actually end up causing you more problems.
